Hello lovelies, welcome back to explore the world of Ames!
I hate the stereotype that comes with New Years Eve in the sense that you have to go full blown 0 – 100 sparkles and the whole shebang. Sooo…what did I do? Completely dressed down a ‘full blown 0 – 100 sparkles and the whole shebang’ dress (crikey that was a mouthful).
Obviously we all love getting dressed up and putting on the sparkles but lets be honest, there’s a time and a place. We don’t want to spend money on a dress for New Years Eve to wear it once and then it sit in our wardrobe for 2 years before we finally throw it out. Also, what are we to do if we are going to a family party or worse our partners family party, a pub, a gathering for New Years Eve? You know somewhere that a dress like this which has complete nip slip’age and lets face it, is pretty raunchy might not go down so well?
We need to cover up the opportunity for nip slip’age, we need to add warmth as what if we’re outside? and we need to add some less stripper type shoes (I did have stripper type shoes on with the dress you just cant see them)…
We add a roll neck…classy, warm and looks good with pretty much anything!
We add a cosy but sassy jacket…preferably with green fur (faux fur that is).
We add tights, once again for warmth and last but not least little Chelsea boots to add a bit of a heel so we don’t get lost in the crowd (that’s if you’re 5 foot 2 like I am) but I’m the worst blogger in the world as I couldn’t find my tights anywhere 🙁 but I promise I’m wearing my Chelsea boots! There we have it a super simple easy way to dress down your New Years Eve dress and still be able to rock the sparkles and look EXTRA AF.
I hope you enjoyed this blog post as much as I enjoyed creating it!
Please subscribe for more rants and rambles,
Love Ames xXx
